What people are saying about working with me…

“Before working with Sophie, I felt tense and tired, anxious, carrying lots of unprocessed emotions. I now feel much more positive. Sophie has helped me reframe events so they are no longer overwhelming. Revisiting painful moments, now that I have the headspace to reevaluate and with Sophie empathetic guidance and thoughtful insights, has helped me make peace. Every new mum needs a Sophie in their corner and I’m going to replay lots of your insights at any wobbly moments to come.”

— Therapy client

“It was so helpful to work through my feelings in a safe space with a therapist I connected with. I was given practice ways to cope in situations I found previously overwhelming and small things to work towards each week to allow myself to feel I was moving forward. This was the best thing that I could have ever done for myself.”

— Therapy client

“I was extremely anxious about during my pregnancy and I didn't think it would be possible to overcome my feelings surrounding my hospital and medical anxieties. However, I feel like I really made progress. I have tools I can use when I feel anxious and I have been able to apply the techniques Sophie taught me into daily practice. I have a routine every day now and I am continuing my exposure therapy independently. Sophie made me feel really comfortable and challenged me to face my fears. I know that I can control the way I think now and I am really looking forward to giving birth and meeting my baby!”

How to Calm Anxiety During Pregnancy

Who am I?

My name is Sophie Harris, and I am a Perinatal Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Coach. I have been working as a therapist since 2008. When I became a mum, it inspired me to create my private therapy practice supporting pregnant women and new mums through the transition to motherhood.

Why do I do what I do?

I believe that new mums are hugely under-supported and under-valued in our society. On an individual level, I aim to help women feel empowered in their role as a mum. Additionally, I want to change people's perceptions of motherhood on a societal level; I believe that a mother's contribution of raising healthy and happy children should be recognised and celebrated.

Why have I created this course?

This course is a product of hearing the same issues coming up for my clients time and time again. I decided to create a detailed method of helping people with these issues. I have created this in a format that people can access and from anywhere in the world. I have purposely included all of the therapy tools I teach in 1:1 therapy sessions to pack in as much value as possible. Creating it in this format allows this information and learning to be provided at a fraction of the price of therapy sessions.

My previous clients were asked what they would say to anyone thinking of working with me. This is what they said…

Take the plunge. Having the courage to admit what you are struggling with and share your worries is really cathartic. Sophie really helps you to understand how to think differently about your anxieties and that time and consistent practice can help you to overcome them or learn how to manage them. I left it late in my pregnancy to deal with my problem and wish I had done it sooner because it has massively helped me. Best decision I made!”

— Therapy client

“Definitely do it. You have so much to gain and nothing to lose. I put it off for a long time as I didn't really believe it would help, but the therapy has been part of helping me out of a really really bad place.”

— Therapy client

“Do it, and do it when you first question if you need it.”

— Therapy client

“Do it! Every new mum needs a Sophie in their corner and I’m going to replay lots of your insights at any wobbly moments to come.”

FAQs

Is this course still useful if I am at the end of my pregnancy?

Yes! You can apply everything you learn in this course to any anxiety you may face when the baby is born and beyond. Although all tools are taught to support you with pregnancy-related issues, you can apply these same tools to any situation. The learning you receive in this course will be a lifetime investment to help your anxiety issues.

Will this course replace therapy?

No. This course is great as it provides many CBT techniques that you would learn about during therapy. However, nothing replaces the significance of the relationship that 1:1 therapy can build. This course is helpful for those who are struggling but do not want therapy. This course is also a useful addition to any 1:1 therapy sessions.

Will this course be suitable for my partner or family?

This course is centred around the mother’s experience. However, all information applies to partners and other support networks. In fact, I would strongly recommend sharing the information with those around you so that they can support you with taking steps to feel better.

How will I receive my course?

You will have instant access upon purchase. You will receive an e-mail with a link to access the membership platform that contains the course.

How long do I have this course for?

Once purchased, you will have lifetime access to this course.
